Diver’s Paradise Professional Institute Dive Professional Career Level 2 is the Open Water Scuba Instructor course. This program begins with the PADI Instructor Development Course (IDC)—also including EFR/CFC Instructor and the PADI Instructor Examination.
This career level may be entered during any point, if the student meets the entry requirements. After successful completion of the PADI Instructor Exam (IE), PADI will award the candidate its Open Water Scuba Instructor certification.
Objective: The objective of Diver’s Paradise Professional Institute Dive Professional Career Level 2: Open Water Scuba Instructor is to take a certified Divemaster and elevate their certifications and diving skills to the PADI Instructor level. This program puts these candidates on a direct path to working in the diving industry as an Instructor.
Entrance/Admission Requirements: 18 years old, certified as PADI Advanced Open Water Diver, PADI Rescue Diver and PADI Divemaster or PADI-recognized equivalents and completed PADI EFR Primary and Secondary Care training during the last 24 months or PADI-recognized equivalent.
Be a certified Open Water Diver for at least 6 months. Have a PADI Diving Medical Statement signed by a physician (MD or DO) and dated during the previous 12 months. Provide proof of 100 logged dives.
